Campuses
LAU has campuses in Beirut (Lebanon’s capital and largest population hub) and about 35 kilometers to the north, in Byblos. Steeped in history, both cities still bear traces of their origins going back thousands of years, and are characterized by their distinct contemporary lifestyles.
Through their libraries, athletic facilities, residence halls, theaters, laboratories, computer centers, and academic support services, the two campuses provide state-of-the-art infrastructure and a wealth of services that enrich the experiences of students, faculty and staff.
While each campus has its distinctive attributes and presents particular opportunities, the university operates as a unified institution, applying equally high standards across the board.
Both campuses offer the same programs in arts, sciences and business. Junior and senior years in engineering, architecture and pharmacy are completed on the Byblos campus, which will also house the School of Medicine.
Set on hillside locations by the Mediterranean Sea, both campuses are blessed with the long sunny summers and mild winters typical of the coastal Levant.
