Terms of Reference

General

The cadency is directly related to the 1st Edition of the Beirut Human Rights Film Festival 2008.

Composition

1. The Advisory Board is composed of senior level officials from various institutions and organizations.
2. The Advisory Board consists of nominated members and the Chairman.
3. The Chairman is the director of the Institute of Diplomacy and Conflict Transformation at the Lebanese American University.
4. Advisory Board members are nominated by a Chairman, based on the suggestions of the organizer, partners or sponsors of the BHRFF.
5. An Advisory Board member may resign any time.

Role

The Advisory Board shall be responsible for promoting the film festival through available channels, overseeing the BHRFF performance, advising towards achieving the goals of the festival and recommending on quality improvement.

Terms

1. With the exception of the Chairman, the term of Advisory Board members expires on the last day of December.
2. Appointed members may, if eligible, be re-appointed.

Additional Members

The Chairman may invite additional members to become a member of Advisory Board.
