This program is designed by LAU and the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York for students who cannot secure an equivalence for the Baccalaureate Degree from the Lebanese Ministry of Education. On the Excelsior College Degree program, students apply to the Freshman class and upon completion of an associate degree they may pursue a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, a B.S. in General Business, or a B.S. in Computer Science. Courses taken at LAU are evaluated by program officers in New York. Degrees are issued by Excelsior College, not by LAU.
Non-degree and special students are those who are eligible for admission and choose to take courses for credit without working towards a degree. Non-degree students may petition for a degree status.
Applicants to the Teaching Diploma must have completed the requirements for a bachelor’s degree. Applicants graduating from recognized institutions of higher education where English is not the language of instruction are required to pass the English Entrance Exam (EEE) or TOEFL. See the program of study for the Teaching Diploma.
