July 2011 Seminars

For the fourteenth year running and following the remarkable success of its 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2009 seminars, the Institute for Banking and Finance will offer in summer 2011, two top-notch training seminars to professionals in Lebanon and the entire region of the Middle East. This year's seminars cover two important areas in the practice of banking, finance and risk management.


Sessions are scheduled daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with short coffee breaks and a one-hour lunch break between lectures.

A former International Banker for the First National Bank of Chicago, Roger also worked as a Director of Human Resources for a multi branch community bank in a Chicago north side neighborhood.  

Youssef Nasr holds a BA and MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University, UK, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, USA.

Mr. Nasr has well over 35 years of experience in most aspects of the banking industry. During his career he has worked in commercial, corporate, investment and private banking, as well as long stints in capital and money markets. In more recent years, he has held a number of roles in executive management, having served as CEO of very large financial institutions in North America, South America and the Middle East-North Africa region. He has had ultimate responsibility for institutions producing annual profits of up to USD 2 billion, total assets of up to USD 150 billion and employing up to 35,000 staff. His career included postings in New York, Paris, London, Toronto, Vancouver, Sao Paulo and Dubai.
