Mr. Peter Speak

After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1985, Peter Speak spent ten further years with that firm, becoming a senior manager and then a principal in the financial risk management practice. He specialized in running assignments which delivered solutions for financial services clients. During this time he also gained his first experience in training, running introductory and advanced banking and capital markets training courses.

In 1995 Peter joined GNI Ltd as Head of Credit & Market Risk Management. He became a managing director in 2000. Mr. Speak was responsible for all aspects of market and credit risk, developing risk policy and liaising with regulators to obtain and maintain an adequate capital management policy. He built a risk management system to monitor and margin client exposures across the different businesses and products in GNI.

Mr. Speak joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 2003 as head of credit and market risk management responsible for the “Cantor Index.”

Dr. Andy Klein

Andy Klein earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Boston, an M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is currently Associate Director of Business Programs at Devry University, where he has worked for almost 20 years. Prior to that, he worked in a variety of positions, including Regional Manager for Chicago, Director of Faculty Relations, Program Manager of the Master of Human Resource Management program, and Curriculum Manager in several areas. Andy teaches and conducts seminars in organizational behavior, change management, and human resources planning. His research interests focus on the role of organizational culture and leadership in firm effectiveness and performance.
