Courses:

A variety of women’s studies courses are offered at the Lebanese American University. These include:

Conferences, Seminars and Workshops:

IWSAW hosts national, regional, and international conferences, in addition to seminars and workshops related to women’s issues.

IWSAW Special Events:

Annual Film Festival: Since 2000, IWSAW has been hosting an annual film festival. The films and documentaries screened are selected for their unconventional, non-commercial and alternative portrayal of women. Some of the themes covered: On/By Women (2000); Images of Women (2001); Women’s Diaries (2002); Profiles (2003); Cinema/Women/Sexuality (2004); and Veils (2005).

International Women’s Day: Since 1998, the Institute has organized special cultural events, concerts, and photo exhibits to celebrate International Women’s Day. Collections of exclusive photographs about Lebanese Pioneer Women, Women And War, and Veil(s) are available at the Institute.
