THE LEBANESE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the field of Nutrition effective October 2008 or February 2009.  Candidates should have an earned doctoral degree in Nutrition as well as Postdoctoral Experience.  A commitment to excellence in teaching (of basic and advanced nutrition courses between Beirut and Byblos campuses), research and services to the School of Arts & Sciences and University is expected. The Division of Natural Sciences is a highly focused research unit with a newly established Center for Genomics and Proteomics offering a plethora of collaborations at the interface of Biology, Medicine and Nutrition. The successful candidate is expected to perform research that leads to refereed publications. Other Responsibilities include, but not limited to, advising students, directing graduate theses, working with student organizations, participating in program development, and committee service at all levels of university governance.
