The Lebanese American University invites applicants for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the broad field of Cultural Studies The successful candidate will have a broad background enabling him/her to teach "Great Books" and must hold a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies, or English, or Comparative Literature, or History (especially Greece and ancient Rome), or Philosophy, or Arabic/Islamic Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level but would ideally be able to participate in the M.A. program in Comparative Literature. He/She will actively demonstrate research potential through scholarly publications and perform service to the Humanities Department and the School of Arts and Sciences at the University.
