The School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University (LAU) is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in Philosophy at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank in the Department of Humanities. Candidates must hold a Doctorate degree in philosophy, and must possess a strong record in teaching, research, and scholarly activities. Priority will be given to candidates who can teach courses in logic, medieval philosophy, early modern philosophy, philosophy of language, and applied ethics.

The Department of Humanities is one of the seven departments of the School of Arts and Sciences. The department offers a B.A. degree in Arabic Language and Literature, a B.A in English, a B.A. in History, a B.A. in Philosophy, and an M.A. degree in Comparative Literature.

LAU has two campuses, one in Beirut and the other in Byblos, about 35 kilometers north of Beirut.
