The Department of Social Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank in the field of Political Science with a specialization in Conflict Resolution. Prospective candidates must possess expertise in the International Relations and Comparative Politics of any one of the following regions: Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and East Asia. They must have strong scholarly and teaching credentials, and are expected to contribute to the Master’s program in International Affairs and seek externally-funded research grants.

The Department of Social Sciences (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/social-sciences/) is one of the seven departments of the School of Arts and Sciences (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/). It offers a B.A. degree in Political Science, a B.A. in Political Science/International Affairs, a B.A. in Psychology, a B.A. in Social Work, and an M.A. degree in International Affairs. 

LAU (http://www.lau.edu.lb) has two campuses, one in Beirut (Lebanon’s cosmopolitan capital and largest population hub) and the other in Byblos, about 35 kilometers north of Beirut.
