The Department of Social Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychology, effective Fall 2014.
The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated full-time faculty member who is committed to innovative teaching, research, academic advising and institutional and community service. Candidates must have earned a PhD in Psychology, and are expected to teach general and specialized Psychology courses at the undergraduate and graduate level across LAU’s two undergraduate psychology programs in Beirut and Byblos. They should also contribute to the development of the program, and perform academic services to the department and the university. Advanced knowledge and training in research design and statistics is considered an asset.
The Psychology Program offers a B.A. in Psychology and is currently preparing to launch an M.A. in Psychology.
LAU has two campuses, one in Beirut (Lebanon’s cosmopolitan capital and largest population hub) and the other in Byblos, about 35 kilometers north of Beirut.
