The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics in the School of Arts and Sciences invites applicants for a visiting faculty position in the field of Computer Science preferably at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Computer Science, and should have recognized world-class expertise in their fields of research. Applications from all areas of computer science will be considered, but of particular interest are candidates with expertise in Computational Biology and/or Bioinformatics.
The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics is one of the seven departments of the School of Arts and Sciences at LAU. It offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science. The BS in Computer Science is the oldest Computer Science program in Lebanon, and the first to obtain ABET’s accreditation. Successful candidates will be expected to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and to actively participate in research.
