The Department of Humanities in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University (LAU) is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position  at the Associate/Full Professor rank. Candidates must hold an interdisciplinary Ph.D.  degree in Liberal Arts or related fields and must demonstrate a record in teaching, research, and scholarly activities. The successful candidate will be teaching liberal arts or related courses.   Furthermore, the successful candidate will be involved in departmental and university committees and councils and will contribute to the development of the departmental programs.

The Department of Humanities (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/humanities/) is one of the six departments of the School of Arts and Sciences (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/) at LAU. The department offers a B.A. degree in Arabic Language and Literature, a B.A. in History, a B.A. in Philosophy, and a  B.A. in Translation.
