Clinical Faculty & Clinical Coordinator position
The Lebanese American University (LAU) School of Pharmacy and the University Medical Center-Rizk Hospital (UMC-RH) are seeking a joint position for a Pharmacy Clinical Faculty and Clinical Coordinator.
The LAU School of Pharmacy, located in Byblos, has a six-year Pharm.D. program that is ACPE-accredited. It has a culturally diverse faculty and student groups who are devoted to a progressive academic environment, the development of the individual, and the service of the community. The UMC-RH, located in Beirut, is the primary teaching hospital for LAU’s Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy Schools, and is committed to excellence in interdisciplinary patient-centered care, teaching, and research.
The main duties of this position include leading, developing, and managing clinical pharmacy services; providing clinical services to select patient population at UMC-RH; and contributing to the didactic and experiential teaching, service, and scholarly activities of the School of Pharmacy.
The successful candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy, completed at least one year of post-graduate residency, has a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical practice experience preferably in an acute care setting, is licensed to practice pharmacy in the US, and is licensed/eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in Lebanon. Applicants must demonstrate effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and superior team work approach in order to successfully function in an interdisciplinary environment. The candidate should also be qualified for a faculty appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor level or higher.
