The Department of Art & Design in the School of Architecture & Design at the Lebanese American University is now accepting applications for a visiting faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level depending on experience and qualifications. This position is for the academic year 2017-18.

The candidate should hold a master degree in fashion design, and should have experience in teaching fashion design studios and/or other courses.

In addition to teaching, the visiting faculty should play an integral role in developing the program, participating in juries, and stimulating an atmosphere of creativity and collegiality. Young designers are exploring menswear, womenswear, unisex outcomes, tailoring, textiles, contour/ sportswear in a multi-disciplinary program that nurtures individual expression. The successful candidate will be able to work across a number of interconnected disciplines, within a team striving for excellence.

This position will be open in FALL 2017, which starts on August 31, and may be renewed for an additional year, according to university policies that apply to visiting faculty.
