The Department of Art and Design at the School of Architecture & Design invites applicants for part-time faculty position for Fall 2017. Applicants should have teaching experience and demonstrate expertise relevant to the below course:
ART499/ Senior Study-Fine Arts [0-6, 3cr]
Course Description
This course is a studio course developing skills in the use of various painting materials and techniques. It This is a senior course that provides for independent initiation and execution of art projects, allowing for greater depth and research in the development of a personal idiom.
Course Objectives
A student completing this course will be able to analyze, locate, find and engage in both theoretical and conceptual creative process that the student can develop and apply in their problem solving creativity and visual production.
Upon the successful completion students will acquire the ability to produce a coherent body of art works based on a specific theme that they would have researched and presented in the form of written paper.

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have a MFA or MA in Fine Arts or related fields.
Duration of position: This position will open in Fall 2017 (which starts on August 28, 2017).
Application Process: Candidates should apply electronically by sending a letter of intent outlining their particular design pedagogy, the courses which they are qualified to teach, a CV with names of three references, and the following:
- Professional portfolio with examples of design projects (PDF, 15-pages maximum)
- Teaching portfolio with examples of syllabi and students’ work (PDF, 15-pages maximum)
