The Department of Art & Design in the School of Architecture and Design at the Lebanese American University is now accepting applications for a contemporary Fashion Illustrator to deliver an intermediate summer studio that explores the diversity of fashion practice. The selected candidate will be an accomplished contemporary fashion illustrator with a broad understanding of creative practice through an exemplary use of mixed media and processes. Learned techniques will build into a fashion design portfolio, allowing young designers to explore new and unexplored avenues of figurative representation.

This role supports and develops the emerging aesthetic of contemporary fashion within the program. Young designers are exploring menswear, womenswear, unisex outcomes, tailoring, textiles, contour/ sportswear in a multi-disciplinary program that nurtures individual practice. The successful candidate will work within a team who is striving for excellence.
Candidates to this post must hold a Masters/ MFA in fashion design or related field, with teaching experience.
This position will be open in the Summer 2018 term, which starts on May 23, 2018.
