Advancement Communications Manager – New York
The Lebanese American University is currently accepting applications for the following position in its New York City office.
The Advancement Communications Manager reports to the Vice President for University Advancement. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising Advancement communications efforts and enhancing media outreach in coordination with the Directors of Marketing & Communications and Public Relations in Lebanon. This position is based in New York City.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as managing editor for a quarterly alumni magazine; annual report to donors; select electronic newsletters; and other projects
- Develop relationships with appropriate media
- Ensure message integrity in all materials, both print and electronic
- Manage freelance writers and designers in development of materials
- Other related duties
Requirements:
- Strong project management, writing and editing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Some travel required
- Experience in higher education and understanding of the Middle East preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and web development experience preferred
