Auxiliary Services Logistics Officer/Logistics Manager

The Auxiliary Services Office is currently looking for a Logistics Officer/Logistics Manager to be located in Byblos Campus.
The Logistics Officer/Logistics Manager is mainly responsible for managing the car pool operation, monitoring and processing the Post Office, Mimeographing Center, Telephone Operators, parking facilities subscriptions, shipping and clearance and issuing of LAU identification cards. The Logistics Manager will report directly to the Director of Auxiliary Services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and follow-up the transportation activities using LAU fleet or outsourcing services
- Monitor the Post Office and Mimeographing Center operations
- Monitor the attendance, overtime, cellular bills and fuel consumption etc…
- Coordinate and follow up with shipping and custom clearing agents on all incoming and outgoing cargo
- Monitor and process the issuance of IDs and parking access cards
- Process all invoices and prepare monthly expenditure report
- Prepare Purchase Requests for the department needs
- Process documents and payments for vehicles yearly government fees
- Oversee the maintenance of all LAU vehicles
- Verify vehicles fuel consumption and maintenance expenses
- Check on the performance of the subcontractors and conduct a market survey to locate new ones if needed
- Assist in preparing the documents pertinent to department budget planning
- Prepare and submit petty cash
- Check invoices and approvals prior to processing
- Confirm telephone bills pertaining to LAU drivers
- Conduct market surveys for transportation service providers
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from a renowned university
- At least 6 years of experience in a Supervisory position
- Excellent management and communication Skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Advanced written and verbal English and Arabic language skills
- Multitasker and able to work efficiently in a team environment and under stress
- Pleasant, dynamic and patient character
