The Auxiliary Services Office is currently looking for a Duplication Technician to be located in Beirut Campus. The duplication technician is mainly responsible for providing photocopying, duplication and binding services to all LAU community including administration, faculty, staff and students.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains the University’s duplication center, providing photocopying, duplication and binding services to all University constituencies
- Keeps all duplicators, photocopiers and other peripheral equipment up and running at all times. Requests maintenance support in case of breakdowns or malfunctioning.
- Maintains adequate levels of supplies and consumables, including paper, ink and toners, stapling materials, binding materials, etc…
- Keeps the center and machines in a tidy and organized state at all times, to secure quality output and streamlined operations.
- Coordinates with all academic divisions, offices and departments on major duplication projects to secure the right provisions for them. Executes such projects diligently.
- Places order requisitions for all missing materials and suggests the purchasing of new equipment and materials based on his hands on experience in the field
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- High School or Technical equivalent (BT/TS in Electricity/Audiovisual is a plus)
- Customer Service oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of produced materials
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of duplication equipment and operations
- Knowledge of computer (Excel, Word, e-mail)
- Able to work overtime and during holidays and weekends
- Knowledge of written and oral English
- Physically fit to handle tasks associated with work requirements
