The Human Resources Department is currently seeking a Government Relations Lead Representative. It is a central position based in Beirut campus while commuting to Byblos is required.
Summary
The Government Relations Lead Representative is responsible for following-up on all transactions related to securing entry visas, residencies, work permits, and NSSF documents for all LAU employees and students.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow up on securing entry visas, residency permits, and exit documents for foreign staff & faculty members from the General Security.
- Process work permits issuance, renewal and termination at the Ministry of Labor.
- Follow up on securing entry visas, residency permits, and exit documents for foreign students sponsored by LAU from the General Security.
- Assist in processing NSSF transactions for staff members and their families, and for students (registration & termination, medical procedures’ pre-approvals, EOS indemnity, family allowance, funeral compensation, etc.).
- Follow-up on the University’s transactions with other relevant governmental agencies and ministries (MOF submissions, MOL submissions, DMV, etc.).
- Ensure the proper record keeping of all processed government-related transactions.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree or TS with additional years of experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in processing governmental transactions & paper-work
- Good command of the English Language
- Very good communication/organization skills, and time management
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness with attention to details in performing work duties
- Service excellence and customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to uphold organizational values and maintain confidentiality and impartiality
