The Institutional Research & Assessment Office is currently searching for an “Institutional Research Officer” to be located in Beirut Campus.
Role Summary:
The Institutional Research Officer shall collect, analyze and disseminate data and information to provide the University’s internal and external constituencies with accurate and timely information to support decision-making, planning, policy formulation and institutional effectiveness initiative.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collects data from internal and external sources and stores it in a central database to ensure proper reporting activities
- Has access to and is responsible for reporting from University databases and ensuring the integrity of the data being reported
- Responds to diverse requests for data from the internal and external constituencies
- Provides support for the analysis of data for use in decision-making and policy formulation
- Provides support for the analysis of surveys for use in decision-making
- Provides support for the analysis and dissemination of information for strategic planning
- Provides support for recurring projects including annual data summaries as well as regulatory and research entities that LAU is accountable for
- Supports in the preparation of University publications by providing data related to students, faculty, staff, libraries and facilities; Supports in the preparation of the office’s publications (Fact Book, Brochure…)
- Ensures that the DIRA website is up-to date with all relevant information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; a Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum 4 years of work experience
- Excellent verbal and written English and Arabic skills
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Applications, especially Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Relevant work experience is a plus
