Lead Administrative Assistant for the University Registrar

The Registrar’s Office has a vacancy for Lead Administrative Assistant for the University Registrar. The position is based in Beirut campus but periodic commuting to Byblos campus is required.
Basic responsibilities:
- Assists the University Registrar on all projects and the assessment plan and follows up on them as required.
- Collects, researches, compiles, analyzes and summarizes a variety of informational and statistical data from Beirut and Byblos campuses.
- Transforms statistical materials and data into PowerPoint and Excel charts.
- Assists the Registrar in preparing proposals and reports.
- Establishes excellent working relationships with various LAU constituencies on both campuses.
- Coordinates the University Registrar’s meetings taking minutes and initiates action items.
- Provides administrative support for meetings hosted by the University Registrar, handling all details as required.
- Makes business travel and lodging arrangements for the University Registrar.
- Coordinates with other departments/schools on administrative and/or operational matters.
- Receives and welcomes students, parents, and external visitors who wish to meet the University Registrar.
- Provides information and channels requests, which regularly require the use of good judgment and the interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Assists in tracking the operational calendar requirements and the operational budgets for both campuses.
- Manages the communication related to the Registrar’s office on both campuses.
- Maintains, processes and updates files related to the University Registrar.
- Collects data and prepares the format of the annual report; publishing skills required.
- Performs other related duties as and when required.
- Reports to the University Registrar.
Minimum qualifications and skills:
- BA/BS degree from a renowned university. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Work experience in a similar position for 2 years or more.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Arabic;
- Knowledge of the American system of education; Knowledge of other systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Banner is a plus.
- Must be a team player; takes initiative and is proactive.
- Advanced computer skills especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Desktop Publishing.
- Excellent accuracy in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting data.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
