The Health Services Office- Dean of Students Office- in Byblos Campus is currently searching for a Registered Nurse (Part-time position) for the month of June 2016.
Common Job Requirements:
The Registered Nurse mission is to maintain and improve the health of the LAU community by providing a patient-centered, and delivers prevention, early identification, treatment, care, and support for acute and chronic disease management.
Duties include providing primary health services, emergency services, nursing intervention in acute cases and support for chronic cases:
- Implement independently the nursing process with clients regarding medication and treatment. Has the knowledge of medical, therapeutic and psychiatric nursing interventions and methods, in addition to apply quality standards and procedures.
- Listen and provide empathetic assistance to clients in meeting their needs and carrying out treatments.
- Observe changes in client behavior, and ability to make inferences and differential nursing diagnoses based on data available; develop and update a student’s profile at the university, and keep confidentially medical records within this profile.
- Respond to emergencies, evaluates proper care treatment.
- Assist in maintaining availability of medications and supplies, keep records of drugs and insure their security.
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and ensure a comfortable, safe, and orderly environment.
- Assist in referring client to available, appropriate medical and social services in the community.
- Capable of establishing effective working relationships with faculty, staff and students.
