Security Guard – Byblos Campus

The Protection Department is currently looking for a Security Guard for its Byblos campus that will be mainly responsible for maintaining security on Campus during an assigned shift. This encompasses persons, property and public reputation.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Check the identity of people entering the Campus; maintain communication with the Protection Office concerning the entry of visitors and suppliers to Campus and helps visitors in reaching their intended destinations.
- Help in keeping discipline during entrance exams, registration, drop / add periods, commencement and other major activities on Campus, and report any misbehavior.
- Patrol Campus areas; survey and note unsafe conditions and/or damage to University property; take appropriate action to contain or correct the situation.
- Help in organizing parking lots, and control any violations thereon.
- Control entry and exit of vehicles and merchandise at the Campus gates, and make sure that appropriate permissions are secured before allowing such entries and exits.
- Take appropriate action to stop persons behaving in a suspicious or unsafe manner, and inform the Protection Office.
- Protect the University from any internal or external assault.
- Guard specific sensitive buildings in the Campus such as Administration and Residence Hall, while maintaining law and order in these premises.
- Perform other duties pertinent to the Position as requested.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Holder of a Brevet or an equivalent Technical Diploma
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the protection and security field
- Basic knowledge of English and computer skills
- Physically fit, and tolerate working under pressure
