The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office is recruiting a Senior Financial Aid Officer for its Beirut campus. The position reports to the University Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
Role Summary:
The Senior Financial Aid Officer is mainly responsible for collecting and processing financial aid and scholarships data.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Receives financial aid applications and insures that all required documents are submitted.
- Performs data entry of financial aid information.
- Provides financial aid services to applicants, students and parents.
- Schedules and conducts interviews with parents.
- Responds to electronic and phone inquiries with students, applicants, and parents.
- Assists in compiling data needed for statistical reporting.
- Follows-up with students on Financial Aid related issues.
- Assigns and processes students’ work and employment hours.
- Participates in student recruitment, orientation and registration activities on campus.
- Communicates with University offices and faculty about student work related issues.
- Issues letters and fills forms requested by students pertaining to their financial aid and scholarship decisions.
- Selects and matches students receiving aid for annual scholarships.
- Posts office announcements, and performs some clerical and administrative support duties.
- Reviews, analyzes and classifies financial aid applications.
- Verifies and compares financial information submitted and requests additional documentation when needed.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from a renowned University
- 6 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide quality customer service
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to uphold organizational values and maintain confidentiality and integrity
