The Internal Audit Office is currently looking for a Senior Internal Auditor / Associate Internal Audit Manager. This position reports to the Director of Internal Audit. It is a central position based in Beirut Campus with required commutes to Byblos Campus.
Role Summary:
The position is mainly responsible for conducting internal audit jobs in accordance with the IIA Auditing Standards.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise the planning and coordination of all aspects of audit jobs, such as obtaining an understanding of relevant processes, identifying and assessing risks and controls, preparing audit programs for the Manager/Director review prior to start of fieldwork.
- Carry out audit activities, supervise the execution of audit plans and activities in areas under his/her supervision, as assigned within approved budgeted time in accordance with IIA standards.
- Review and approve audit working papers of personnel. Evaluate whether the audit evidence obtained is sufficient and appropriate to form an audit opinion and drafts audit reports.
- Assist the Director with formulating risk-based internal audit plan.
- Coach supervised staff.
- Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Analyze internal processes, recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations.
- Monitor time actually spent with the Director pre-approved time budget by job.
- Perform other duties pertinent to work as required.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Holder of a Bachelor’s business degree. Relevant Professional Qualification (CIA, CPA or CMA) is a plus
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience
- Good knowledge of International Standards on Auditing and/or the IIA Standards
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Supervision abilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Inquisitive mindset
- Ability to take ownership of assigned audit jobs
- Ability to collect relevant data, establish facts, define problems and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to uphold organization values and maintain confidentiality and impartiality
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office)
- Working knowledge of CAATs, Audit working papers application
- Excellent verbal and written English & Arabic. French is a plus
