The Children’s Library Collection

Established in 1967, the Children’s Library was the first of its kind in Lebanon. It was set up to encourage nursery children, as well as the children of faculty, staff, students, and alumni to borrow reading materials.

The collection consists of about 11,300 volumes mainly in English and Arabic, and, a few French books. It is divided into five main subjects: easy reading, fiction, non-fiction, reference and science. The materials serve as resources for several undergraduate courses from different academic programs — COM337 Creative Dramatics, EDU321 Children’s Literature, and early childhood education lab experience.

The Children’s Library Collection is located in Floor IV [elevator: 13] of the Riyad Nassar Library, Beirut.
