Library training sessions

The LAU Libraries will be providing a series of training sessions on the use of LAU library resources in general, and the electronic ones in particular.

The fall 2008 sessions are scheduled as follows:
Beirut campus:
- November 10-14 (multidisciplinary resources for all students);
- January 12-16 (resources related to business and international affairs for faculty, students, and staff); and
- January 19-23 (resources related to education for faculty, students, and staff).
Byblos campus:
- January 12-16 (resources related to business and international affairs for faculty, students, and staff); and
- January 19-23 (resources related to pharmacy for faculty, students, and staff).
One-on-one sessions are also available upon request. Holiday (update)

In compliance with the Government’s decision concerning Eid Al-Fitr, LAU will also be closed Thursday October 2, 2008. Classes will resume on Friday October 3.

LAU will be closed on the days of Eid El-Fitr to be officially communicated by the government. Registration will continue for one day after the resumption of classes.
Financial aid activation

Beirut campus students who already have a Financial Aid decision for the academic year 2008-2009 and who wish to activate it for this fall term, should pass by the Study Room, Nicol Hall, Ground Floor, between Wednesday September 24 and Friday October 3, 2008 (9 am to 12 noon and 1:30 to 3:30 pm) to sign their letters and receive their Assignment Sheets.

LAU’s Institute for Peace and Justice Education is collaborating with the UNDP to organize the fourth summer school on conflict prevention and transformation for emerging leaders on August 16-25, 2008, at the Byblos Campus.
