By the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:

• Recognize the importance of using non-traditional pedagogical techniques and strategies in their respective educational institutions;
• Develop their own blended methodology to model and foster reflective activities to heighten the teaching/learning process;
• Apply various techniques and strategies in their respective educational institutions to foster non-traditional teaching and learning.

Session One (2 hours)

Pre-test

• Ice breakers (Mind mapping and others)
• A non-traditional teaching learning process

• Tips and Strategies
  1. Fostering motivation
  2. Promoting active learning
  3. Engaging learners in the teaching/learning process
  4. Differentiating instruction (catering for various learning styles)

Session Two (2 hours)

1. Cooperative Learning

4. Case Study Approach
5. Task Based Learning
6. The teaching/ learning of soft skills
7. Active Learning

Session Three (1.5 hours)

Group work (on active learning strategies)
