Mr. Robert D. Hollback
Assistant Vice President of Development, North America
Mr. Robert D. Hollback is the Assistant Vice President of Development for North America at LAU. Based in New York, he directs all North American fundraising for the university. His responsibilities include developing fundraising strategies, as well as overseeing the cultivation and solicitation of individual donors, corporations and foundations in North America.
With close to 30 years of experience in higher education advancement, encompassing fundraising, public relations, and alumni relations, Mr. Hollback joined LAU in 2007. After starting his career as a reporter and editor he made the transition to the field of higher education, joining Emory University in Atlanta, where he was Associate Vice President for University Advancement for seven years.
In 1995, Mr. Hollback joined the American University in Cairo, as Vice President for Development. Following this appointment, in 1999 he joined the Center for Economics Research and Graduate Education at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, as Vice President for Development. He later worked for a non-governmental organization in Prague that trains journalists in 27 former Soviet-bloc countries.
Mr. Hollback has a B.Sc. in Journalism from Bowling Green State University, in Ohio.
