Molecular Biology Lab Supervisor - Byblos

The School of Medicine / Department of Human Genetics is currently looking for a Molecular Biology Lab Supervisor reporting to the department Chair. This position is based on Byblos campus.

Role Summary

The Molecular Biology Lab Supervisor is mainly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Lab as well as coordinating and organizing the different Lab sections and experiments.

Additionally he/she performs molecular diagnostic testing related to the field of genetics, in particular molecular biology, molecular cytogenetics and oncogenetics.

He/she takes ownership of all Lab equipment and apparatus making sure they are in good operating conditions, and ensures the proper scheduling of Lab sessions.

Furthermore, the Molecular Biology Lab Supervisor coordinates and assists faculty members to develop new experiments and formulate instructional modules for existing and proposed experiments, as well as coordinates research activities and assists in recording, compiling, and organizing data as required.
