These are photos of the Nursing Day held on the Byblos campus, March 10.
Dozens of high schoolers from around the country attended the Nursing Day on the Byblos campus.
The students had the opportunity to check out the site where the Medical and Nursing facility is being constructed, during a Byblos-campus tour.
Dr. Nancy Hoffart, founding dean of LAU’s Nursing School (at podium), and Rita Doumit, the school’s first faculty member, took turns introducing the new nursing program.
Rudy Bahri, a nurse at the University Medical Center – Rizk Hospital, dispelled myths about nursing being a job just for women.
After the presentations, the high school students learned CPR techniques from nurses.
Students were taught how to measure blood pressure.
