The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics at the Lebanese American University, Byblos Campus, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at all professorial ranks in the area of computer science starting Spring/Fall 2012. We are seeking applicants from all areas of computer science including, but not limited to, distributed systems, parallel computing, databases, compilers, software engineering, data mining, networks, or closely related areas.
Successful candidates must have:
- An earned PhD in Computer Science;
- A strong potential for excellence in research;
- A commitment to undergraduate teaching in the core computer science curriculum;
- An ability to supervise collaborative research projects with undergraduate and graduate students;
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Established in 1977, The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics is the premiere computer science program in Lebanon. The program offers a BS and MS in computer science. The Department is in the process of developing an emphasis in Bioinformatics.
