The Department of English in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a position at the rank of Instructor in English effective Spring/Fall 2016. The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated full-time faculty member who is committed to innovative teaching, academic advising and institutional and community service. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in English language or TEFL/TESOL or equivalent, with at least three years of university teaching experience. The successful candidate will teach English language courses at the freshman and sophomore levels and assist in advancing the English language Program.  Candidates should mention in their letter of intent which campus, Beirut and/or Byblos on which they prefer to teach.

The Department of English is one of the seven departments of the School of Arts and Sciences. It offers a B.A. degree in English.

LAU has two campuses, one in Beirut (Lebanon’s cosmopolitan capital and largest population hub) and the other in Byblos, about 35 kilometers north of Beirut.
