The Fine Arts & Foundation Studies Department in the School of Architecture & Design at the Lebanese American University is now accepting applications for a full time Tenure-Track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

The Fine Arts program is requiring a new vision towards visual arts, Whereas the Foundation Program is a program common to all entering students in Architecture, Interior Design and Graphic Design. Both programs are seeking faculty to teach foundation design studios. The foundation courses are directed towards the development of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to design, emphasizing visual perception, analytical interpretation and plastic studies. The ideal candidate should be able to teach Foundation Design Studios [2D and/or 3D] as well as any other visual arts course as painting, ceramics, basic print making…, and to actively participate in the development of both programs.

Minimum Requirements: a Masters in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Architecture with Teaching Experience.

This position will open in the Fall of 2012, which starts September 20, 2012; and is renewed on a yearly basis according to University policies that apply to Assistant/Associate Professors.
