Operations Manager/Senior Operations Manager

The Physical Plant is currently looking for an Operations Manager to be located in Beirut Campus.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the outsourced maintenance of all university non-IT assets including but not limited to Office Equipment and Lab Equipment.
- Perform site visits to confirm works and collect needs.
- Establish and maintain job-related files, reports and training material.
- Optimize equipment operation.
- Assist the Associate Director in projects related to O&M.
(Low Current Systems - Access Control, CCTV, Security, Control and Monitoring, Building Management, Fire Alarm …)
- Set the design guidelines.
- Ensure proper operation.
- Manage needed maintenance.
- Administer appropriate enhancements.
- Set schedules, modify set-points, log modifications, and manage access rights.
- Analyze and report findings.
- Manage the installation of above systems when needed.
- Manage bid requirements, analysis, evaluations and recommendations.
- Manage the preparation of technical specifications, life cycle cost analysis, evaluation, and recommendation for the purchase of assets.
- Prepare preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and tasks in coordination with the maintenance team.
- Supervise PM visits, analyze findings and recommend actions.
- Participate in the implementation and operations of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Evaluate and improve processes and workflows.
- Coordinate the requirements for new maintenance contracts with the maintenance and design teams.
- Define scope, terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with the Work Control Unit for contract processing.
- Confirm contractor completion of technical requirements.
- Supervise the contractor during contract execution.
- Perform other duties pertinent to this job as assigned (energy management, metering, store management, trainings, presentations …)
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- B.E. in a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Excellent computer skills in MS Outlook, MS Office, and low current systems
- Excellent verbal/written English and Arabic skills with the ability to effectively write reports in English
- Ability to learn the operation of specialized computer applications through reading manuals
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically fit to perform above duties
- Experience in a similar position is an asset
