The deadlines to submit applications for admission to undergraduate programs are:
- For non-transfer undergraduate applications: July 31, 2009
- For transfer undergraduate applications: August 14, 2009
Summer School on Conflict Prevention and Transformation 2009

The Institute for Peace and Justice Education announces that the deadline to apply for the summer school is July 6, 2009.
The school includes a basic 10-day residential program starting on August 16, and a three-day advanced program starting on August 23. Kindly check this IPJE webpage for more information.
Activating financial aid for summer 2009

All LAU students who are already on financial aid and wish to continue on it this summer, must proceed to activate it on the following dates:
- For summer I: July 1-8, 2009, 9am to 1pm, FA Office
- For summer II: August 12-19, 2009, 9am to 1pm, FA Office
The deadline to complete all summer work studies is September 25, 2009.
Update (posted June 19, 2009): Due to budget availability, loans and grants (USAID and DG) will be granted to financial aid students this summer.
MedGulf Faculty Chair in Actuarial Science: new career opportunity at LAU

LAU is proud to announce the establishment of the MedGulf Faculty Chair in Actuarial Science as of fall 2009. A vacancy notice inviting applications for the position has been posted. Actuarial Science is currently offered as a minor at LAU and the successful candidate is expected to assist in developing this discipline into a major.
Call for papers: Program and Learning Assessment in Higher Education

LAU’s Center for Program and Learning Assessment invites submissions to a regional conference scheduled for November 6-7, 2009. The deadline for proposal submission is July 31, 2009. Read the details here.
New MBA admission requirement: GMAT

As of fall 2009, GMAT has become an admission requirement to the MBA program. Applicants for fall 2009 and onwards are required to submit the GMAT scores to complete their application to the MBA program. More information about graduate admissions.
