Vaccination Committee

At the request of the PC, the Vaccination Committee has been set up on January 19, 2021 to increase LAU’s preparedness for the roll-out of the vaccination plan.

Emergency Health Response Committee

At the request of the PC, the Emergency Health Response Committee has been formed in March 2, 2020 to propose practical and systematic ways of addressing the COVID-19 threat.

The responsibilities of the Committee are:

Oversee University efforts and recommend to the President’s Cabinet (PC) actions regarding the following:

  1. Raise awareness on the COVID-19 threat
  2. Recommend means for campus preparedness
  3. Recommend the needed training for staff, faculty and students
  4. Identify resources and recommend action plans and procedures
  5. Monitor progress
  6. Prepare and communicate an emergency preparedness plan

Health Response Task Force

The Health Response Task Force works in coordination with Dr. Rola Husni-Samaha, Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine and at the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital.
