Position: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Project Focus: Industrial Waste Management and Valorization in the Beer Industry

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at the Lebanese American University. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of industrial waste management and valorization, with a specific focus on the beer industry.

Responsibilities:

Conduct innovative research to develop sustainable solutions for managing and valorizing industrial waste in the beer industry.

Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to advance the project’s objectives.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate chemical engineering principles into sustainable waste management strategies and lean manufacturing good practices.

Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at conferences.

Assist in the supervision and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students.

You may be asked to teach up to 6 credits per academic year.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field with a background in operations and production management.

MBA degree is a plus.

Strong background in chemical and process engineering principles and in operations and production management.

Experience in experimental design, data analysis, and the use of relevant research tools, techniques and software. 

Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment.
