“Diplomacy as Strategic Defense”. A conflict resolution workshop and simulation organized by IDCT and UNDP/Berghof Foundation. LAU, Byblos – Lebanon, May 8–9, 2009.

“Beirut Human Rights Film Festival”. First edition of film festival which promotes human rights through powerful stories produced by young people, screened to schools, universities and general public, following by a wide-ranging national awareness campaigns. Organized by IDCT and Partners and sponsors, United Nations Office of High Commission for Human Rights, Middle East Office, World Vision and the Royal Netherlands embassy in Beirut. “Young Voices – An East/West Dialogue Day Program”. A joint video conference between university students from Lebanon, Cyprus and Northern Ireland, which aims to identify common predicaments, note situation specific differences as well as explore the experience of younger people in mobilizing resources which aid dialogue and facilitate more effective inter-community exchange. Organized by the Center for Analysis of Disputes and their Modes of Settlement (CADMOS) at the University of Paris XI in collaboration with IDCT. LAU, Beirut – Lebanon, June 12, 2008.

“International Conference on International Security.” International colloquium of experts, including Director of IDCT on International politics of the Middle East: the position of Lebanon in a penetrated political system. Organized by University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki – Greece June 2–3 2008.

“Prevention and Management of Atmospheric Disasters in the Euro–Med Zone”. A simulation exercise designed for graduate students incorporating universities from France, Morocco, Greece and Lebanon including LAU, Organized by the Center for Analysis of Disputes and their Modes of Settlement (CADMOS) at the University of Paris XI and the Pantheon University of Social and Political Sciences – Athens. “International Negotiations and Bargaining”. A Workshop and simulation on International Negotiations conducted by Professor Paul Meerts from the Netherlands Institute of International Relations. LAU, Byblos – Lebanon, February 25, 2008.

“We are Factors of Change”. A workshop on Identity and Conflict Resolution in Lebanon, conducted by Dr. Makram Ouaiss. LAU, Byblos – Lebanon, December 7–8, 2007.

“Workshop on Conflict Resolution and Peace Building.” Workshop organized by the Institute of Peace and Justice Education in collaboration with the Institute of Diplomacy and Conflict Transformation incorporating university students from Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Kuwait, and Yemen. Workshop sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation with support from the Mennonite Central Committee and LAU. LAU, Byblos - Lebanon 16-25 August 2007.

“Culture in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership.” A simulation exercise designed for graduate students incorporating universities from France, Morocco, Egypt, and Lebanon including LAU and sponsored by the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue of Cultures, Alexandria, Egypt, June 2007.

Simulation exercise on Hijacking. An exercise organized by the Centre for the Analysis of Disputes and their Modes of Settlement (CADMOS) at the University of Paris XI and IDCT involving graduate students from 15 nationalities from the University of Paris XI and LAU. Simulation sponsored by the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean  Foundation for the Dialogue of Cultures. LAU, Byblos – Lebanon, 15-17 February, 2007.
