The institute maintains ongoing collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Centre for Cultural Research at the University of Western Australia, Sydney, and a growing collaboration with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Canada. Institute for Migration Studies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on scientific cooperation with the Johannes Gutenberg-Universitat in Mainz Germany. The IMS also has a strong working relationship with the Arab Research Collectives, an NGO working throughout the region. The IMS has established a good relationship with The Centre for Migration and Refugee Studies at the American University in Cairo and has started a relationship with The European University Institute via CARIM, Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. In addition, the IMS was invited by the IDRC to participate in the Capacity Building in Resource Mobilization Workshop as part of IMS’ growing relationship with the IDRC. Furthermore, the IMS is building a relationship with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The aim is to collaborate with them to launch a Master′s Program in Migration Studies at LAU.
