Position Summary
The Department of Communication Arts at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Instructor. Prospective applicants must possess a masters’ degree in Music and demonstrate a record of achievement in music studies/performance. The selected candidate is expected to play an instrumental role in implementing the new program in Performing Arts; and to work with other faculty for advancing the Department.
Responsibilities
- Teach Music courses based on program needs.
- Play an instrumental role in implementing the new program in Performing Arts and in supporting other programs in the Department
- Advise and mentor students
- Engage in service to the department, the university and the profession.
- Additional duties may be set by the department in light of departmental needs and priorities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned Masters’ Degree in Middle Eastern Music
- Demonstration of effective teaching
