The Department of Social Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/ Full  Professor in Political Science, effective Spring 2016 or Fall 2016. The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated full-time faculty member who is committed to innovative teaching, research, academic advising and institutional and community service. Candidates must hold a PhD in Political Science, preferably with a regional focus on North America or Europe. They will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in International Relations and Comparative Politics, and in research methodology with emphasis on quantitative methods. They should also contribute to the development of the program, seek external research grants, and perform academic services to the Department and the University. Those applying at the Assistant professor level must have some years of teaching experience and a research record.

The Department of Social Sciences (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/social-sciences/is one of the seven departments of the School of Arts and Sciences (http://sas.lau.edu.lb/). It offers a B.A. degree in Political Science, a B.A. in Political Science/International Affairs, a B.A. in Psychology, a B.A. in Social Work, and an M.A. degree in International Affairs.
