The Lebanese American University (LAU) School of Pharmacy is seeking applicants for a joint position of a senior faculty and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. This joint faculty/administrative position reports to the Dean of the School of Pharmacy.

The LAU School of Pharmacy is located in Byblos and enrolls over 500 students in its pre-pharmacy and pharmacy programs. It has a five-year B.S. in Pharmacy program and a six-year Pharm.D. program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). It has a culturally diverse body of faculty who are devoted to a progressive academic environment, the development of the individual, and the service of the community.

Position Summary:

As a faculty member, the candidate will be expected to teach in a variety of courses at the School of Pharmacy based on his/her area of specialty and expertise, conduct research and provide service to the School and University.

As the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, the candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership for the office of student affairs at the School of Pharmacy. In the accomplishment of this goal, he/she will:

 Qualifications:

The successful candidate should hold a professional pharmacy degree and/or a Ph.D. in a pharmacy-related field, a proven record of competency and commitment to working in an academic environment and a clear desire to create a culture of academic success. The candidate should also have a minimum of several years of administrative and leadership experiences with a focus on student admissions and advising. Excellent command of spoken and written English and creative skills for programmatic initiatives to address student needs and functions are necessary.
