The “Mutaz and Rada Sawwaf Master of Arts in Islamic Art and Architecture” at the Lebanese American University is now accepting applications for a visiting professor for the academic year 2017-18. The MA Program was established in Spring 2015 with the generous support of Mu’taz and Rada Sawwaf, and aims to develop into one of the leading graduate programs in Islamic Art and Architecture in this region. 

The aim of the visiting professorship is to invite scholars of Islamic Art/Architecture to participate in this new program, and to expose students to a variety of topics and approaches to the study of Islamic Art and Architecture. Minimum Requirements:
PhD in Art/ Architecture History with a focus on the field of Islamic Art/Architecture.

Duration of position: This position will be open for one academic year starting in the Fall of 2017, and may be renewable for a second year in case of mutual interest. Alternatively, the position may be available for one term only, by mutual agreement.
