The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Lebanese American University School of Pharmacy invites applicants for a part-time faculty position to primarily develop and deliver graduate courses (didactic and laboratory) in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (or a closely related field) from a recognized program/institution. Having additional experience in the Pharmaceutical Biotechnology/ Biosimilars industry is considered. Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in biotechnological drug development and regulation and their relevant topics; mastery in the application of HPLC, spectrophotometry, electrophoresis, cell culture and protein extraction, Western blotting, ELISA, DNA extraction, bacterial transformation, PCR, and enzymatic reactions; and expertise in effective instructional techniques and innovative modes of course delivery adaptable to a variety of learning styles, including effective experimental demonstrations.

The successful candidate will assist in developing and delivering the aforementioned courses in the graduate M.S. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences that is planned to start in fall 2018, and contribute to the delivery of the undergraduate Biotechnology courses as the need arises. Priority will be given to candidates with teaching experience at the graduate level in a higher education setting. The candidate must show a mastery of spoken and written English, with effective communication and interpersonal skills, interprofessional understanding, collegiality, and cooperative abilities.
