Assistant to the Provost for Implementation and Follow-Up

The Office of the Provost is currently searching for an “Assistant to the Provost for Implementation and Follow-Up”. The position is based at LAU’s Beirut Campus. Commuting to Byblos campus might be required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acting as communication hub on all administrative correspondence between the office of the Provost and all VPs and Deans.
- Providing needed follow-up on all administrative work originating from or coming to the Office of the Provost in such areas as staffing, budget-related matters, purchasing, contracts, etc…
- Researching, compiling and summarizing a variety of informational or statistical materials.
- Tracking and mapping all communication involving the Provost’s Office related to NEASC, Strategic Plan, University Councils, Council of Deans, President’s Cabinet, and committee work relevant to the Provost.
- Tracking and following-up on all reports coming into and going out of the Provost office.
- Taking minutes and following-up on business arising in CD meetings and the meetings chaired by the Provost.
- Handling administrative-related domestic & international correspondence pertaining to business related to the Provost’s office.
- Implementing the necessary procedures to comply with LAU’s archiving system and to control and manage confidentiality of records, files and database.
- Performing any other related functions as mandated by the Provost.
Desired Qualifications and Profile:
- Masters’ Degree from a renowned university
- 15+ Years of Experience, preferably in higher education
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Excellent IT Skills
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to work with diverse teams
