The Human Resources Department is currently looking for an Employee Records & Benefits Specialist for its Byblos Campus. This position reports to the Director of Compensation & Benefits at Byblos Campus.
Role Summary
The Employee Records & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the proper organization, safekeeping, update and maintenance of all personnel records & files. He/she is also responsible for issuing part-time staff contracts, and providing support and backup in administering LAU fringe benefits.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Assumes custody of personnel files of all Byblos-campus faculty and staff members.
- Ensures proper storage and safekeeping of personnel files.
- Ensures that personnel files are kept in the filing room at all times, and that access to these files is restricted.
- Ensures that authorized inspection or movement of personnel files is supervised and documented.
- Continuously updates physical personnel records and files of full-time and part faculty and staff members.
- Continuously updates HRMS records of full-time and part staff members.
- Prepares lump-sum and part-time staff contracts, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Processes salary advances and payment holds & releases for full-time and part-time staff members.
- Prepares employment statements and certificates for full-time and part-time staff members.
- Provide support in and backup for administering employees’ benefits, such as educational benefits, medical insurance, etc.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree from a renowned university
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle E-Business Suite
- Good communication skills
- Service excellence and customer focus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness with attention to details in performing work duties
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work within a diversified team and foster a spirit of cooperation and integrity
- Ability to uphold organizational values and maintain confidentiality
