The Procurement Office is currently looking for a Senior Procurement Officer/Procurement Specialist to be located at Beirut Campus.
Job Summary:
The Senior Procurement Officer/Procurement Specialist assists the Director of Procurement in providing timely and efficient procurement of goods and services for all University departments, including all Central Administration purchases and international procurement of the university. He/she shall coordinate the procurement needs of the University within the framework of the purchasing policy and procedures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check specifications for all procurements, vendor selection for bids, analyze and evaluate bids. Summarize bids and share with end-users for feedback and recommendation. Coordinates selection with the technical department. Participate in the selection of goods/services.
- Receive goods; check the goods against purchase orders and follow-up until installation is completed. Oversee and resolve vendor grievances and claims against suppliers.
- Coordinate matters related to iProcurement such as with the Business Office, create and maintain items and suppliers.
- Track purchase orders and advise suppliers and end-users accordingly.
- Prepare reports on items prices ranges across a period of time and ensure items prices are corrected in the system.
- Reconcile PRs, POs, Receiving, and PR and PO outstanding encumbrance. Advise stake holders on course of action.
- Conduct market review; identify potential sources of goods/services.
- Check suppliers’ for missing information, complete missing documents.
Desired Qualifications and Profile:
- Bachelor Degree with relevant specialization in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in multidisciplinary procurement and in supply chain management systems
- Experience with iProcurement is highly desirable
- Strong organization skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to prices, offers, bidders and winners
- Ability to maintain transparency and fairness as per policy and procedures
- Excellent team player with a commitment to building a positive team spirit
